OPERATING PRINCIPLE OF AIR WASHERS
The operating principle is based on the injection of atomised water into the airflow passing through the air washer. A low-pressure pump delivers water to a series of spray nozzles, which atomise it into fine droplets. These water particles interact with the dry air, which absorbs moisture through evaporation. The process operates adiabatically, without external heat input; the air releases part of its heat to support water evaporation, resulting in a reduction in air temperature and an increase in relative humidity.
Before being supplied to the environment or duct distribution system, the air passes through a droplet separator, which removes excess residual moisture, ensuring a clean and properly conditioned airflow.
